Mission Statement
It wasn’t long before Sm2 Music realised that a career in music was exactly what they wanted in life. Surrounded by a community of musical talents, Sm2 Music brings an original and innovative approach to their work, with an ever growing catalogue of songs featured on radio and other distribution services such as iTunes, Spotify, Youtube and Tiktok.
MICHAEL QUINN
Michael started his professional career at age 16, playing in Dixieland Jazz bands, before doing the pub circuit from the late 70s until mid- 90s. He became involved in recording, jingle-writing and live production, before doing consulting work in the Solomon Islands, developing the music industry and becoming a co-owner of a night club in Honiara.
After a chance meeting with songwriter, Andrew Mann, Michael spent many years producing musical arrangements in Mann’s band, Mantra and there met drummer James Morrisson, recording the ‘Power of Sound’ album in 2007 with ex-savage garden legend, Daniel Jones.
He has been involved in various community musical projects over the past 10 years and brings a wealth of experience to SM2.
MICHAEL STEWART
Michael Stewart has written literally hundreds of songs for SM2 Music. His lyrics have captured anthems, traditional, garage rock, hard rock, country rock, country outlaw, folk, indie, jazz and opera and many more genres. The range of story's he tells is used to inspire SM2 music. Michael is an important part of the team in how SM2 goes about composing its music. Michael does most of the video production as well is learning guitar.
STEVE BRADY
Steve discovered music from playing trumpet at the age of 8. He realised that guitar was the instrument for him and began forming bands from the age of 11. Throughout high school his bands achieved regional success by winning competitions and obtained a studio contract which sparked his love for creating music in a studio. His band had some commercial success as they were featured on TV adds and on a computer game. Post school, Steve studied a degree in Education and became a High School Music teacher where he received a National Excellence in Teaching State Award and was nominated for an ARIA music teacher of the year award. Steve has since found a passion in recording and producing musical talent.

JAMES MORRISON
James started playing drums at the age of 3, he got his first drum kit at the age of 5. And has been playing drums for 31 years.  In 2004 James started playing drums in his first band Magic Bullet. He has played in many bands since then. James has jammed with some of the biggest named drummers in the world such as Grant Collins ( Bachelor Girl ), Gregg Bisonette ( E L O ) & Ben Hall ( The Butterfly Effect ).  It wasn’t till 2021 that James first joined SM2 with Steve Brady, Michael Quinn and Michael Stewart and it has been an amazing journey so far.
